1 Bertelsmann `Planet-M`, Expo 2000, Hannover/Facade claddings
Planet-M is a remarkable building object which was to be clad with stainless steel wire mesh in a three-dimensional way. The` Escale 7x1` mesh was especially developed for this project. At daytime, it reflects the light as a glistening surface. At night, when the Planet starts glowing by means of 380 light sources, the mesh itself recedes optically and serves as a filigree light distributor. (Photographie: Schwager)

3 Rad- und Schwimmsporthalle, Berlin/Facade claddings
An extraordinary project with an unusual area of application for architectural wire mesh. The stadiums are subterranean, and they rise above the ground like tables in an orchard of apple trees. The tablecloth made of stainless steel wire mesh `Futura` make the surfaces appear like a lake.
Dominique Perrault
4 Flughafen Köln-Bonn, Parkhaus P4/Facade claddings
The mesh panels go over all storeys of the parking garage. They are firmly fixed on top and stretched by springs on the bottom. Woven in round bars allows the mesh panels to be fixed at each concourse level. These distance holders serve to balance out possible windloads.

Munkenbeck & Marshall
6 UGC-Kino, Bordeaux/Facade claddings
From the functional point of view, the facade made of stainless steel mesh serves to hide the emergency staircases. The mesh `Omega 1520` appears light and, under the influence of light, like an elegant veil.
Alberto Cattani
7 Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe, Hamburg/Facade claddings
The facade of the new building next to the neo-renaissance building is clad with stainless steel mesh `Omega 1520`. The material is translucent and yet it appears as though it were a closed surface. Störmer: `The structural reduction of the new facade to a translucent surface transforms it into a screen dividing the court yard.`
Alsop & Stoermer

13 L.V. Seoul/Facade claddings
The new architecture of L.V. makes use of the textile characteristics of the metal mesh in order to emphasize the high quality of the supplier of luxurious fashion. Seoul was the first of a series of façade projects with Louis Vuitton, e. g. in Taipei, Sapporo and Tokyo.
L.V. / Carlson/McNulty
14 UGC-Kino, Paris-Bercy/Facade claddings
The detailed photograph shows a distance holder integrated into the fabric which prevents the fabric `Omega 1520` from smashing against the facade due to heavy wind loads. A solution which is both simple, functional and decorative. The cutting of the metallic fabric does not have any influence on its stability.

The elements of stainless steel mesh in different designs and the glass lying underneath - partially in the colours bronze and copper - take on shape by means of illumination and implementation of nine different mirrors. Thus, the building receives an unmistakable value of entertainment.

62 Mecc 1/Facade claddings
The newly constructed parking garage for the Fair and Conference Centre MECC in Maastricht (NL) is an ideal example of architectural wire mesh being used as a façade cladding, in particular for parking garages. The stainless steel wire mesh type `Tigris` functions as a decorative external covering and, simultaneously, as windfilter and protection from rain. Furthermore, it serves as a full protection from falling down. (Photographie: Schwager)

183 Bertelsmann `Planet-M`, Expo 2000, Hannover/Facade claddings
Planet-M is a remarkable building object which was to be clad with stainless steel wire mesh in a three-dimensional way. The `Escale 7x1` mesh was especially developed for this project. At daytime, it reflects the light as a glistening surface. At night, when the Planet starts glowing by means of 380 light sources, the mesh itself recedes optically and serves as a filigree lightdistributor. (Photographie: Schwager)
