The architectural wire mesh `Sambesi` was used for this elegant arched ceiling in the reading rooms. Each arch row could have been woven out of one single mesh piece. For maintenance purpose seach arch is an individual piece which can be loosened and refixed simply by means of a clip fastening. Sprinkler heads have been integrated into the mesh.

Due to their heavy weight, they, of course, have a certain curving, and their ends are just fixed to the substructure with bolts.
