A semitransparent partition screen made of stainless steel mesh `Omega 1520` was installed in the conference centre of the Sheraton Hotel. This screen is 24 m long and 2.35 m high. If one looks straight through the mesh, it is still rather transparent. If one changes the angle of view, the mesh becomes increasingly opaque. It is stable enough to be fitted in a frame without any further support.

The stainless steel mesh `Ocean` was developed for this application and was installed in large overlapping elements. With regard to EXPO 2000, the City of Hannover decided to have a new tram line constructed. The architectural concepts for the six tram stops are basically identical, but the materials used are different. The tram stop Kerstingstraße is covered with the stainless steel mesh `Ocean`. For this project, the responsible architects received the ar+d Award for emerging architecture 1999.
