Each arch row could have been woven out of one single mesh piece. For maintenance purpose seach arch is an individual piece which can be loosened and refixed simply by means of a clip fastening. The metallic fabric `Omega 1520` has been inserted into frames which can be shifted according to the position of the sun. The open area (approx.70%) allows the sprinklers and other services to be installed above the mesh. The horizontal illumination of the mesh with coloured light creates the impression of a golden surface. Ellen Sander

The material is translucent and yet it appears as though it were a closed surface. Analogous to the interplay between silence and dynamics: The ceiling made of architectural wire mesh flows into the Hall of Palais de Congrès, Paris, like gently curved waves. The sphere of an open and vivid communication finds its architectural equivalent in the appearance of a moving, softly glimmering water surface which produces warm colour and light reflections.
